Under the new regulatory framework administered by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), persons who intend to assume the role of the Key Executive Officer (KEO) or Practising Director or Practising Partner of an estate agent are required to possess a pass in the Real Estate Agency (REA) Examination.

The current REA Examination syllabus was revised and took effect from July 2015.
Please note that candidates would not be tested on new policies implemented one month prior to the examination.

Full-Sitting (3 Papers): $556.40 (incl. GST)
Modular Re-Sitting (2 Papers): $438.70 (incl. GST)
Modular Re-Sitting (1 Paper): $288.90 (incl. GST)
Please note that examination fees are subjected to revision and may be changed without prior notice.
Modular Re-Sitting is only applicable for candidates who have passed at least one paper of the REA Examination.
The accepted payment modes for the examination fees are:
1. Direct Credit (i-Banking / Bank Transfer)
2. PayNow
You will receive instructions through email, which will be sent within 5 working days, on how to complete your registration by making the payment.
Before you can make payment for your examination, you must ensure the following has been completed:
- Upload the required documents for your examination registration
[ eg. REA Course Completion Certificate, Highest Qualification Certificate, CEA Assessment Letter AND/OR Results Slips within the timeframe of 2 years (for re-takers only) ].
Once payment is made, you will receive an email from us within 5 working days on the status of your examination registration.
Should your examination registration be rejected, please note that your fees will not be refunded.

As it is a requirement by CEA for the Exam Administrator to verify that all candidates meet the required pre-requisites, candidates MUST upload the following documents upon examination registration so that verification can be done by RELC to ascertain your eligibility to take the examination.
· Singapore GCE-O Level Certificate, OR
· Singapore GCE-A Level Certificate, OR
· Higher NITEC Certificate, OR
· WPLN Certificate – Minimum Level 5, OR
· Diploma from Singapore Polytechnic or Ngee Ann Polytechnic or Nanyang Polytechnic or Temasek Polytechnic or Republic Polytechnic, OR
· Degree Certificate from National University of Singapore (NUS) or Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or Singapore Management University or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) or Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) or Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) - CEA Assessment Letter which is valid for 3 years (For Overseas Qualification Only), - Results Slips within timeframe of 2 years (For Re-takers Only),
Candidates who do not meet the required pre-requisites and attempt to register for the examination would be barred from taking the examination. Any fees paid by candidates would not be refunded.
Candidates who passed the examination but were subsequently found not to meet the required pre-requisites would have their results voided. Any fees paid by candidates would not be refunded. The candidate would also be barred from taking the examination in future.

Once payment is made, you will receive an email from RELC within 5 working days on the status of your examination registration.

The REA Examination results are released 4 – 6 weeks after the examination is held.
Notification of results will be e-mailed to all candidates as soon as possible.
Candidates are allowed to defer their examination, up till 5 working days after the examination, under the following circumstances:
1. Hospitalisation on the day of examination
2. Bereavement of next of kin
3. National Service duties that cover the day of the examination
4. COVID-19 related reasons (e.g. Quarantine Order, Stay-Home Notice, contact with suspected COVID-19 case etc.)
Candidates who are unable to turn up for the examination would be considered “absent” and fail the examination.
Candidates who are recalled for National Service (NS) duties or hospitalised during the examination day may submit an application to defer their examination. Candidates who have bereavement cases would be allowed to defer their examination on compassionate grounds.
Please note that medical certificates issued by hospitals and clinics would not be accepted as valid reasons to defer the examination.
Candidates are required to submit the relevant supporting documents to RELC Examinations Bureau via email within 5 working days from the examination date.
An administrative fee of S$107 (incl. GST) will be levied on each examination deferment application.
Candidates who were approved for deferment would be allowed to attempt the next examination only. Candidates would not be allowed to select their next examination date.
Under no circumstances will RELC Examinations Bureau be able to refund the examination fee or administrative fee once the candidate has made payment.
If you are absent from an examination, it is deemed that you have failed the examination that you have registered for.
Candidates who are recalled for National Service (NS) duties or hospitalised during the examination day may submit an application to defer their examination.
Candidates who have bereavement cases would be allowed to defer their examination on compassionate grounds.
CEA may consider COVID-19 related reasons (e.g. Quarantine Order, Stay-Home Notice, contact with suspected COVID-19 case etc.) for deferment application.
Candidates must submit the relevant supporting documents to RELC Examinations Bureau via email within 5 working days from the examination date.
All deferments are subjected to the approval of RELC Examinations Bureau. An administrative fee of S$107 (incl. GST) will be levied on each examination deferment application.
No refund of the examination fees will be made for candidates who are unable to attempt the examination on the examination date.
Candidates may appeal to reassess their results by writing in to RELC Examinations Bureau at REA@relc.org.sg to obtain the Appeal Form.
The form and payment are to be submitted within 5 working days after the results are released.
Candidates may only appeal for the failed examination paper.
The appeal outcome will be sent via email within 14 working days after the appeal submission closing date.
Candidates will not be shown their answer scripts.
An administrative fee of $64.20 (incl. GST) per transaction will be imposed.
Candidates are advised not to register for the next exam until the appeal outcome is out.
