The Occupational English Test (also known as OET) is an international English language test for the healthcare sector. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professional.
This course is designed for nurses who wish to register and practise in an English speaking environment.
What is the difference between OET and IELTS?
IELTS assesses a test-taker's academic or general English language proficiency. OET assesses a test taker's English language proficiency within the context of the language they use in their daily professional lives as healthcare professionals.
If you have experience as a health professional either in your own country or in an English speaking country (eg. Singapore) or those who are studying for a health related qualification, then there are many advantages in doing OET as it will be directly related to your profession and you can use your medical knowledge and vocabulary to help you succeed on the test.
