SINGAPORE
P
R E D I C T I O N...
With
regards to the future of Music and Arts in Singapore,
it seems that they are set to bloom and blossom. With
the building of Esplanade, Singapore looks set to promote
arts. In fact, we have more musical performances coming
in from other
countries. We do have a school, namely the Nanyang Fine
Arts Academy, for those who are artistically-inclined.
Students are now more exposed to the fine arts. Nanyang
Fine Arts students are given opportunities to showcase
their designs. I believe that the teachers from the Academy
feel that the scene is very promising for their students.
I believe that future looks good for them.
As
for the Music scene, I believe that you are referring
to the traditional music, I am quite sure that I had predicted
the future in one of my previous messages. But nonetheless,
Chinese and Indian traditional music look set to vanish.
The Malay traditional music and dance is still going on
strong, and most probably will still be 50 years later.
Teenagers nowadays are now into the hip-hop, techno and
such after all...
