P
R E D I C T I O N ...
As
we know, music everywhere is used to accompany other activities.
Music is a major component in religious services,
secular rituals, theatre, and entertainment of all sorts
in my country. Music may serve as a symbol in other ways,
as well. It can represent extra-musical ideas or events.
It also symbolizes military, patriotic, and funerary moods
and events. In a more general sense, music may express
the central social values of a society. The youths in
my country are kind of obsess with pop and rock songs.
As we can see, the traditional musics are not really being
pratised by the youths anymore, which is a bad thing.
Anyway, efforts have been carried out to preserve it.
An example of an effort which has been taken is the building
of more technical schools around the country. In fact,
I think that in the future, if no action is taken, the
traditional musics are going to be totally replaced by
pop and rock musics.
