Successful Business Communication (English)

With globalization, the ability to communicate effectively is the key to success for business executives. Our course helps you deal confidently with common business situations in cross-cultural settings.

This is the course for you if you:

§         have an intermediate level in English

§         use English at work but lack confidence and sometimes do not know how to express yourself

§         want to become more fluent in English

§         want to acquire practical knowledge to help you communicate with business contacts

Our course covers the following topics:

§         cultural diversity and socialising

§         telephone skills

§         giving presentations

§         meetings

§         negotiations

In addition to your lessons you will have unlimited access (subject to availability) to our computer laboratories during your course. Here you can do as much additional study as you want in your own time with our multi-media English programme.

You will learn a wide range of business terms and business-related expressions through classroom instruction and activities, including in role-plays, simulations and discussions to give intensive practice in using English in business situations.

Open entry for all those with intermediate proficiency in English.

You need to take a short placement test.

Participants who pass course tests and attend at least 75% of lessons will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.

You will buy a text and workbook on the first day of the course (approx S$60).

2.         English Language Entry Tests

            For the English Language Entry Tests please come the LER Admin Office,  (Room 614, Level 6) at the following times.

 3.         Payment Procedures

 The Registration Form must be accompanied with full payment of fees by credit card or cheque. The payment will not be processed until the course is confirmed. Cheques will be returned / credit cards will not be charged if the course is not conducted due to insufficient number of registrants.

 4.         Public Holidays

Lessons that fall on public holidays are not made up.

 5.         Customized Courses

 We also conduct customized company-based courses. The course schedule can be arranged to suit the organization.
