Guidelines is no longer published and only back
issues are available. The magazine aimed to provide teachers with a publication that contained numerous teaching ideas to try out in their classrooms. It contained a number of sections:
The Feature Article section published medium length articles which
addressed the practical concerns of ELT practitioners on such topics as teaching methodology, materials development and classroom management.
The section on People and Places contained interviews with ELT professionals and short reports on profiles of ELT facilities and resources.
The Multimedia Resources section published reports on how teachers could integrate multimedia materials in their teaching.

RELC Journal is published by Sage on behalf of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Language Centre (RELC), located in Singapore. It presents information and ideas on theories, research, methods and materials related to language learning and teaching. The
Journal welcomes contributions that have in mind the common professional concerns of both the practitioner and the researcher, providing a bridge between theory and practice.
As part of our service to teachers and researchers, one section of the Journal will continue to be devoted to book reviews and a compilation of books ‘received’.
